Due to our participation and involvement with the Cyber Essentials scheme, we were approached by The Times to speak about our experience. The Government scheme aims to educate businesses about cyber security and to create stronger protection against the possibility of breaches or hacks.
Our director, Greg, was interviewed by Virginia Matthews from The Times newspaper and spoke about how the scheme has strengthened our security and how important data protection is. It is vital to ensure that our clients know their information is safe with us and that we can protect against all the latest threats. Displaying the Cyber Essentials badge on the F8 website demonstrates our understanding and the extent of our protection against any potential breaches.
Worcester based insurance broker Sutcliffe & Co also featured in The Times having been a part of the same Cyber Essentials scheme. Being the first UK insurance firm to join the scheme, Sutcliffe & Co are now protected against 80 percent of the most common cyber attacks. Guidance from the scheme included the maintenance of firewalls and strengthening passwords, with the recommendation from Cyber Essentials to be selecting three random words.
We here at F8 are very proud to have obtained our Cyber Essentials certification and would recommend the process to any company with an internet connection.
We passed our certification with a little help from 3SDL who made the process almost completely painless for us. If you too would like to obtain the certification, we recommend starting here
