“We’re here for you and your business”

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce were established in the 1830’s during the industrial revolution. Supporting thousands of businesses over the 2 counties, their visual identity and website needs to reflect their dynamic, member-led organisation.

Photos by our Event Photographer

Our event photographer has been working with HWCC for years, photographing their events and exhibitions. Therefore, we ensure these photos have a consistent style to keep in line with their visual identity.

Website Photography

HWCC have a strong brand, but were relying heavily on outdated stock imagery as part of their visual identity. We felt a new library of on-brand photos was needed.  Above all, the new photos show the approachability of Chamber staff and the diversity of their members.

Visual Identity Website Design

The HWCC visual identity had become diluted in it’s usage, with different agencies using it in different ways.

We set out to establish what each of their brand colours was associated with, eg. yellow for events.  After that, we applied these different colour schemes throughout the pages of the website.

This helps the website make more sense and gives each main section it’s own consistent sub-brand.  For example, the International Trade section is blue.

Large Website

The website started at 192 unique pages, which required prioritising and categorising just to make them navigable. In the end, this was a worthwhile exercise, resulting in a website which is intuitive to use and easy to get to the information you need.

Goal Oriented Website

There are multiple goals for the website.  These include booking a ticket for an event, finding information on a large amount of topics, and finding support with business endeavours.

We treated every page on the website as if it’s a landing page and implemented a conversion strategy for the particular goal of that page.  These goals include simply clicking a link, booking onto an event, or get in touch for more information.

Event Booking Ecommerce

A primary goal of the website is for users to book onto an event or training course. We heavily customised the ecommerce platform we used within WordPress, to allow it to speak to their Microsoft CRM.  This syncs the information with their member contacts and accounts system.

Sophisticated Signup System

The HWCC is nothing without it’s members.  Therefore,  we worked hard to make becoming a member a very easy process within the new website.  New members can now sign up and pay online, starting their membership straight away.

Member Directory

The site has a members directory so members can find an contact other businesses throughout the counties, within their chosen sector.

Responsive & Adaptive Website

The website gets a lot of visitors, using many different devices depending on their situation. We made sure the website responds well and works on different device and browser scenarios.

We also adapted content and the way it’s displayed on many of the pages to make it more suitable for those different scenarios.
